The ram will be mounted to the tie rod going between stock steering knuckles on the Ford Dana 60.

The stroke is determined by the travel of a spot marked on the tie rod and measured lock to lock.
The bigger the ram, the bigger the pump. If you're running 37's or so, nothing bigger than 1.5" to 1.75" will work fine.
You will need the pump sooner than you think.
