I have the 90* piece on just for the picture, as I haven't marked for the hole yet, but I really do like the way it all lines up, actually. It doesn't even look all too bizarre

Run a 90 degree fitting off the Throttle Body and tip the box on it's side and forward. Then you just need a longer straight section back to the firewall.
