I tend to not keep my internal conflicts internal, and eventually tend to tell people where to go... but yes, you read between the lines correctly.
all did end up well. after a few hours of wrenching ( or in my case sitting in a chair watching the wrenching) the YJ was running again and I assume made it all the way home under its own power.
