Well,
The first time I needed to reweld my pass side upper, it had rust in it so it had been cracked for some time. I originally had Tera uppers but had swapped them out probably 6 months prior. Teras are not the best arm for non-binding articulation due to their bushing in barrel design so I wasn't surprised when I found the crack.

As a counterpoint though, about 3 months ago, I had to reweld the opposite bracket and the tear looked pretty fresh. I have been running RE arms for over a year now so infer what you will but I guess my point is that its not simply use of Tera or similar style arms that may be the only thing causing this inTJ's. I am no farbicator but frankly, the welds from the factory look pretty crappy to me and that seems to be a more likely candidate for some of these cases, at least in my situation.
