Ok, gaming graphics require low triangulation. This means no high end details. If you retopo the structure/ object ( surface map) it would need to be in a lower resolution.
Movies such as Avatar is all high res triangulation. The following picture was done in the same program as the tire but in high res and surfaced mapped to perfection. It would not work in a video game. This guy has some great sculptures
