Blaine, That's about as accurate as we can get. We also can fire several at the same target which will all come from different directions (and emerge on different selective aimpoints of the target), and all hit the target ship at the same exact second.....BOOMS! These can be fired from the same ship to the target, or from multiple ships at the designated enemy ship.

Seth, Sometimes a tugboat/fishing vessel style craft will have "mop-up duties". They may drag a net through the area & haul the scraps aboard for disposal.

Jeff, If I recall correctly, this vessel was ~520' long with a beam ~45'.

Bob, I'm not sure of the ships history, although it was brought out from mothballs so she would have a new resting place at sea. The downward range from designated target isn't an item I can discuss at this point. I will tell you this though....it was past normal surface search radar range. We call it "Over The Horizon Targeting", (OTHT).
