Though Solidworks does a great job with animation/ simulation it lacks in how real world physics works.

Example, take a balloon and squeeze in, that would be a soft body physics. It stretches. That could be done by trial and error in SW.

Its getting so that the " Sell" of a product goes hand in foot with the presentation. The better the presentation the easier to obtain the funding or get the project approved.

Did a flash animation, not very real and in 2D. Got some good chump change for it. But thats where it died. Our design engineer feels we could have opened a bigger door after seeing some basics of the physics engine and using that in a 3D presentation.

So far on the soft physics not getting very far. I'll post a example sometime in the next week or so.
