Hi Everyone

This is my first post, after being invited here by a "mr. blaine". I have been purviewing this site and the jeep albums belonging to everyone that are members here and what a great bunch of rigs. Wonderful.

I also see a whole slew of 'tan' and 'desert tan' colored Jeeps....my Lord, I'm home.........

Great tech posts too as well as discussions. I am suprised with all the JV runs in the rocks the support for the DANA 30s. Great!!! I love mine and have had no trouble with it living with 9.50 x33" and ARBs as well as the 10.50x33 Boggers for desert running. Though I did pump it some with HD 30-44 innards and HD outers. However, it is LP but still works alright so far.

This is great. A good place to learn from and exchange data from and with others.

I haven't ran the JV area since 1979, but that is some incredible country to Jeep in and spectacular landscape.

Here is a couple photos of my pathetic contraption, my DD, and restored from a total. It ain't much, but it sure is fun as a Jeep goes. It's a 1983 CJ-7. But, it DOES have a rattle can paint job, and it looks it......

.....but as goofy as it is, it pulls things good.....

and other things.......

http://behold-the-rage.com/jeep_page_8.html

...seems to flex okay....

But, it is all I have.

Thank for inviting me here, Mr. Blaine. Great site. Meanwhile, I'm going back and look at the various Jeep albums, since I never met a Jeep I didn't like........

406-755-9765-Ranch

..........anytime......

God, what a cool and funny reply.......I love this place.

Indeed, in time, we shall re-take what is, and always has been, rightfully ours.

..........."guards, seize them all".......

Right on, Mr. McRae, and thank you for the great welcome!!!

Welcome, Robert. I was viewing some your jeep pages and noticed a mention of Whitefish. I spent one winter in Whitefish in the '70's.

Quaint little town from what I remember, but very cold. I recall temps of -30. Downright chilly.

Hi Jeff (Weston),

The number on the side of VEX is because when we were a working ranch, we numbered all of our rigs, designating them as agricultural rigs, and thus getting a 70% break on lic. and insurance.

Still holds.

The name on the door is "Mira El Corazon", which in Spanish translates to "Behold the Heart", which is the name of the original land deed grant for the ranch in 1897.

Under that it reads, "Rocky Mountain Territory."

There is also a method to this livery display on my Jeep, which I have explained in an essay still underway in the Jeep 'News" section at behold on how to legally beat the system, with all the closures and such in our landscape encroaching upon our off road endeavors.

Some will agree, some will be baffled, the Sierra Clubbers amongst us will be ****ed.

Look for it soon, it'll make sense I think.

hi Darrel,

Yes, back then, we got winters. Now, like this one, it was colder and harsher over in the Seattle basin than here. The most mild winter ever.

But country is good, still......

A bunch of great photos. Great Jeeps. You guys have a great set up in that you are out there in these cool placs with so many of these rigs looking so bad-ass and utility (I love the utility look). This is very cool.

Beautiful jeepin' picks and family too. That is my style.

Thank you.

I agree with everything you say and "mrBlaine", well, he has come across as a very very suspicious character, and since anyone that goes by "mr.' raises some big red flags

I just got another 6 blocks that increases my pull to 4,550,000 lb.............

And getting older and even MORE crochety as we speak. If my workload increases any more, I truly WILL be living at LAX.

Whitefish? Know a lawyer named Don Vernay by chance? Knew him from the old Thunderace (YZF 1000R) BBS.

Hello Robert. I was born and raised on a ranch near Great Falls.
Many good memories. First vehicle was a Jeep, and had many since. Currently have a '00 TJ as only vehicle, and would not have it any other way. I fall into the "odd" catagory that likes tall, narrow tires for winter; also. (33x9.50) I am not set up for rock-crawling, but enjoy the high desert and mtn trails as much as I can.
Are you familiar with the Magudor Corridor Trail from Elk City, Id. to Darby, Mt.? We will run that later this June.
BTW, my wife works for an on line company that headquarters out of Whitefish.
Yes, I fall into that "antique"group, 51 years of experiences here.

Hey Tumbleweed,

GF is good country, even if it's the 'windiest city in the world'. I love it there and from there east used to cowboy out on 'The Big Empty" before I was art boy crap. Love it!! Good antelope hunting out that way too!

I know that trail and run. When in June? since I have to/want to, be over in western WA to see Marina and her and I want to go on the Naches-Evans Creek runs on Memorial Day, then grab her and for her move over here to the ranch just after June 5th. We'll be here from that time on.

I would be available. The only hang up is if there are any malfunctions with STS-114, the return to flight which I must attend if the launch window holds from 5-15, to 6-3, if all things remain nominal:

http://www.nasa.gov/returntoflight/main/index.html

I'll know more about this toward May 10th when I get my marching orders what they wish to do at the VIP deal at KSC as launch window gets closer.

Let me know what your schedule is, and what is up for the Darby run as we'd love to go.

406-755-9765-Ranch
Cell is down due to loss of tower on Big Mountain.

Cool about your woman working for an outfit out of Whitefish---small place, our home country.

Thanks for the invite.

I hope you do better here than the other boards.

You seem to get very upset very easily.

Okay,

I'll start again.

Welcome to this board. You're really going to like it here. These Jeepers are a lot better than any other jeep forum.

Better?

Thank you and this is MUCh better, and the way I would deal with you or any other. On Pirate I was banned for attcking back. This medium doesn't like to be attacked back as a reponse.

On Jeep forum, I tired of answering the same technical question over and over and then the attacks. No fun.

Yes, this is a great place and I love the rigs here and what you people are into.

Apparently, in factions of our off road brotherhood, when attacked, we are NOT to attack back but take it, just like Ufology is online.

But the 7 other BBS I post on and this one now, are just great.

Hey, lastly, this is my 40th year with Jeeps, but I noted there was no comment or congrats--hope that didn't **** anyone off too..............

Thank you for the fine welcome here.

Yeah, you ****ed me off you rotten SOB! All those years you?ve been Jeeping and I didn?t make the discovery until years later!!

I?ve about had it with Jeep Forum ? too many immature personalities, moronic ideas and angry political discussions; all unchallenged. If you do challenge anyone, you?re the bad guy. I don?t come to a Jeep board for that nonsense ? glad to see you here!

Well I'll be damned, another unsatisfied costomer from that forum. Well, seriously, I think if your online, into Jeepin' like you and I and so many others, you finally gravitate to places like this.

Here, these guys are into it in the application way and discuss it, and some things they do are outside the popular mode of business. They also exchange well in dialog, write well and can formulate a complete sentence.

For instance, they endorse a HD D30 (they are correct) and where they go in the south eastern CA JV area they give their rigs a workout as seen by the photos here and there.

They also have good help and feedback.

The only one hat you have to watch here is a stalker type, named, "mr.blaine". A very very questionable character and you might watch him.

I noticed too you're now at Ultimate Jeep BBS. Very very nice group and fun too.

Welcome Dan and glad you're here and hope to see you sometime for real in your rig.

Robert

Thanks Robert! Do you mind being called Bob?

Yea, I?ve seen that mr.blaine character stalking other boards dispensing accurate information and imparting solid Jeep wisdom. I?ll keep an eye out for him. I was also happy to see Stu Olsen here ? another Jeeper I enjoy?

I hope we meet someday as well!
