Some of my favorite T-day pics

Almost maxed out, about 3 more inches to go in the rear.

Took me a minute to figure out who this was

This is near the end of Outer Limits and it took this guy over 30 minutes to get through this one obstacle on 44's and all of us spotting, stacking and shoving.

Not for the faint of heart. All were convinced that the only thing holding me up was the soft door. Not really the case, but common sense prevailed and I backed up a little and moved the line down about a foot.

Jeff weighing in as ballast for Sergey.

Cool

Great shots Blaine !!!!
What are you using (in the photos), for the combo front/side turn signal/side marker lights.
That looks like exactly what I'm looking for to use on the PCS fenders that I just did !!

Nice shots Blaine....

Interesting perspective on the close to 45 degrees. Nice to see these things do what they are supposed to do.

Of course, it looks a bit frightening. LOL

Is your camera level in this picture ? Or is Jeff tied to the ground.

Those are two out of a five light cab marker set. The teardrop shaped ones that they use for 1 ton trucks. I modified them to accept a dual filament bulb. I dug through the socket section at the local Kragen and found a socket for a small profile 1157 style bulb. I drilled out the grommet holding the original bulb holder in place, a little dremel work, a little soldering to add a ground because the TJ socket is a 3 wire, a little bailing wire and some judiciously placed holes, and I now have a combo marker and turn signal.

I taped off the inside of the lense and sprayed the back half black to keep the light visible mainly from the front.

You have to keep the original marker light bulb in the harness for stuff to work correctly.

I don't know how many have paid attention, but when the turn signal is off, the front and side lights act as markers. Turn on the signal, the front remains a marker with the brighter filament used to indicate turns and that then alternates with the side marker and flashes it. Very bizarre and I never did find a normal ground.

I drove through this, got hung up, turned left and then hung Kat's side tire about 5 feet in the air.

Isn't that yellow buggy called Brutus?? I think the owner was selling it on PBB awhile back. I got a video of Brutus going up a sheer cliff face...pretty cool.

If it is, driver definatly didn't know what he was doing OR he was just having fun.

Jeff,

I just think you need a belt. It appears to be plumbers butt forming. Nothing wrong with loose fitting clothing provided you have a belt.

So did Sergey take a hammer to his driver's side fender or did you sit on it to straighten it out?

Okay - first off - that is not my skivies that is a white shirt I'm wearing under my red shirt. There is no plumber crack forming.

Second - I've always been complemented on my bum - most girls say it's nice to meet a man with a little meat there - as(s) opposed to the normal flat man butt.....

I only wear belts when I tuck a shirt in or with dress pants.

Jeff

No worries WD, Chris L said he was showing up with some spackle next time out that will fill that crack in quite nicely.

First off... looking at the location of those pants, and the roundness of the bottom of your cheeks indicating where your butt ends... if that white shirt wasn't there you would have been feeling a breeze.

Second... I'll be the judge of that, you going to be around Christmas.

Lastly, belts are good, if it wasn't for belts currently, I'd be out craploads of money on new clothing.

Great pics

I've gotta plan a trip out there! Looks like awesome Jeepin'.

When doe's your "season" end (too hot). Is the end of April/first part of May too late? Or is it best to come out in the fall?

Not a weekend, we went out the Sunday previous to Thanksgiving and stayed until Saturday afternoon.

The weather could not have been any better. The night temps hovered around 30 to 35 degrees and the days averaged 60 or so with Saturday feeling like it was in the eighties.

We burned over a half a cord of firewood staying warm at night though.

That's not too late, but it is getting toasty by then. The jeeping is awesome. Come on out.
