What some of us have always suspected about Jiffy Lube

NBC channel 4 in Los Angeles hid cameras on several cars brought in for service and caught five out of nine LA area Jiffy Lubes charging for work never performed.

Check out the link at http://www.nbc4.tv/video/9152183/detail.html#

It not like many of us had anything but disdain for Jiffy Lube and most of us probably long suspected shoddy work but this confirms the worst. Jiffy Lube was caught red handed screwing their customers.

Not surprised.

I stopped going there the first time they pushed paying for fluids and an air filter on me when there was nothing wrong with either.

Scare tactics to make an extra buck, is a no no for me.

First and last time I ever used a jiffy lube.

I'll stick to the local mom and pop garage down the road from me.

But you can't complain about how quick they get it all done!

I would have liked to see the video where they beat their heads against a wall trying to remove the lock ring from the fuel filter/pump on the ZJ in order to change it.

I stopped going to EZ-Lube after a guy had been trying to convince me to purchase injector-cleaning service for 15 minutes. He was telling lies like, if I don't do injector cleaning I would void the vehicle manufacturer's warranty.

That, plus everything they touch leaks afterwards.

May be different in your EZ-Lube, but I am not happy with the one this way.

That's why I always hang out in the bays when I can.

Good find Jerry!

I think I'll help spread the news.
