Die Hard, the movie

For those with about 50 minutes to kill (and broadband), Die Hard is up on the site.

67 views and not a comment?

I would have guessed that someone would have said something about it.

Or maybe I need to switch deodorant?

Thumbs up

Looks pretty good. I think you could really get a feel for the trail and for how the day went for you guys.

Splicing in side shot photos was I nice touch.

Thank you for sharing, and keep the videos coming.

Sorry, I'm on dial-up at home, and work has damn near everything blocked.

Sorry Stu, I watched it late at night and didn't post after seeing it. Anyway, good job! Your narration definitely adds to the show.

What software are you using to edit these things and does it take long to encode?

Sergey.....maybe some day, on one of your world tours, you'll be able to stop by and we'll run a trail together.

Jeff.....Ulead Media Studio Pro 7 (a couple of revs old but it works OK) to edit and Ulead DVD Movie Factory 2 for the .avi to MPEG-2 encoding and DVD menu/burning. Encoding time is not too bad.....part of an evening to do an hours worth of DVD quality video. Obviously the CPU makes a big difference when you are crunching video files. I am using Windows Media Encoder to make the WMV files for the web site. It takes about the same time to crunch the .avi file down to VHS quality web resolution as it does for making the DVD data file.
