Exemplary Customer Service

I don't know much about Overstock.com and knew even less when I was shopping for a new CB for the TJ and found one on their site that was priced well enough to purchase.

As luck would have it, the new Uniden had issues right out of the box and never worked correctly for more than a few minutes at a time.

A bit of diagnosis with another mike convinced us that the mike was bad, so in order to get it handled as quickly as possible, I ordered a replacement today from CB World.

Yesterday upon returning home I sent an email reply to my order confirmation from O.com. I just asked who to contact about a problem with a purchase and was looking for direction as to how to proceed to get the problem solved.

Late this morning I get a call from an unknown number and the lady on the phone identifies herself as a customer service rep from O.com and asked about the issue. She related that she would issue a RGA right there but a small problem on their end would make replacement difficult. The difficulty lay in that they have no more of that item in stock to send out.

I tell her not to worry that I've ordered a replacement microphone and just really need to get it working. At that point she tells me that if it fixes the problem and I'm happy, to just submit the invoice to them and they will pay for the microphone and shipping and if I'd like, they will go ahead and do that now even before we know if it will solve the problem.

I let her know that I'd prefer to wait and see what it does before we have them pay for anything which she seems okay with.

At the end of it all, their only concern was that I was happy and taken care of. If you've considered using them for a purchase and haven't, this may convince you they are worth at least one shot. I was highly impressed and pleased.

That's way cool. These days I am more accustomed to somebody sending me a wrong part and then charging 15% to restock it.
