Re: screw OPEC

The skeptic in me wonders why if you can run on water is there any reason whatsoever to have the ability to run on another fuel like gasoline?

Methinks they aren't telling us everything.

Thats some interesting stuff But, you do know that we can not create any NEW water right? It would sure be a bummer if we ran out of the stuff

On a different note -

Unfortunately I was not paying enough attention to get all the details... but a few days ago the news was talking about a statement made by one of the large oil producing agencies (Opec?). The statement was something to the effect that they are starting to be concerned that the currently high oil prices might spurr development in alternative fuels

Perhaps they just heard the term "don't bite the hands that feeds you"

This story apeared in Yesterdays news:
Qatar's Oil Minister Abdullah al-Attiyah-
Attiyah said more than 1.5 million barrels of extra supplies in the market were not helping to stabilize prices due to political factors. "Supply is now greater than demand and there is not less than 1.5 million barrels of excess supply, but oil prices are not unfortunately influenced as in the past by supply and demand.

Thats sure screwed up...
