Cool Happy Birthday Joe Dillard

Joe,

Happy birthday to you. Have you hit the rock bottom yet as far as birthdays go? I sure hope you have. You are a great friend; I wish you all the best things and everything that you can wish yourself.

Hey Choef, it's your birthday again?

Seems so soon. You must be trying to catch up with me.

Hope it is a great day for you.

Happiest of Days on the celebration of your birth and the blessing your friendship bestows on us that know and enjoy you Joe. Here's hoping you enjoy a speedy and pain free recovery in regard to latest unfortunate circumstance. Hope your surgery went better than everyone hoped for.

Get well soon my friend. And stay off of quads. You're too old to be hurting yourself.

Thank you very much everybody. I appreciate all the well wishes and Happy Birthday greetings.

Saturday for my birthday I pretty much kept laying down and am making a slow recovery.

As far as the accident thing goes - last week on Saturday I took a nasty spill out at Superstition Mountain and broke my left wrist in a few places, and also severely bruised my right thigh. The bruise is from below my knee, up to my hip and wraps around my leg.

I was suppose to have surgery last Tuesday, but things got delayed till Friday. Friday I had 3 metal plates ~3" long attached to my forearm/wrist and ~9 screws. Today has been the first day I could walk without severe pain.

With any luck, I'll be back to work by the middle of this week. I can watch only so much Judge Judy.

Wow Joe, sorry to hear that. Be careful out there. Maybe we should turn that quad into a mini trophy truck with a full cage?

Happy Birthday Joe and get well! My mom just broke her wrist and had the pins put in as well - must be an "old person" thing!

Haha Jeff.

The thing with the plates & screws is for a much faster healing process and better long term "fix" for the broken areas. The doctors were concerned that I may suffer from other complications down the road not only short term, but long term too unless I opted for a more permanent fix.

Instead of spot welding me, I got some extra chromo gussets and extra braces.

Care to see a nasty pic of my leg? LOL

What happened Joe? Were you in your Jeep or did you fall while scrambling over a rock or something? Spill the beans man!

P.S. I guess this means I won't be calling you for installation assistance when I get my new steering stuff though I guess I will invite you over to watch and drink beer/eat pizza one-handed.

Jerry, I was running around on a quad out at Superstition Mtn & took a nasty spill.

I should have gone with Sergey to the OffRoad expo instead. <bang head>
