10/18/04 Internet Outage

Ok, does anybody know anything about any outages today? Unofficial news is circulating, that there is a massive North American outage that apparently touches areas including: Toronto, Nashville, Atlanta, and Mexico.

I can't access about 1/3 of Internet sites, including one of my own servers routed through WilTel.

At 6:42 EST, the Internet traffic report shows 5 backbone routers down and 6 at below 50%, out of 65 they monitor.

I don't look there much, but don't recall seeing any completely down before.

I had an issue routing through the WilTel all day today up until about 15 minutes ago. But it was not reported on http://www.internettrafficreport.com for some reason.
