actually we just got back from the US with the 3 of us. And although the little one behaved quite well (up to a certain point of course) on the flights and had a blast this vacation, it's still a bit too early to take him on JV adventures (he still sleeps twice during the day).

At this point I'm planning on being there though

I wish I could make it this year, but my Jeep won't be ready in time. After breaking my ring and pinion and steering box last fall, I decided it was time for a change .

Now I'm installing 1-ton axles, ORI's, new suspension, steering, etc. It's going to be great when it's done, but it's turned out to be a lot more work then I originally thought .

Hope everyone has a great time,
Mike

Ron, I definately plan on coming back next year. I'll let you know when I start a build thread. I just want to get a liitle more finished first. So far I've only finished my new front frame, and some of my front shaved Dana 60. And I have a giant pile of parts in my garage just waiting to be installed .

Here are a couple of pic's -

made it back to Alpine in one piece No failing trailer tires on the way back and except for having to replace some of the light bulbs on the trailer and having to adjust strapping on the tie downs after the hooks broke off in the rear, it was pretty uneventful thankfully Hopefully everybody else made/makes it home without problems also

Thanks to all who attended, it was without a doubt another great week in JV. Good people, good trails and good weather and let's not forget about the fabulous Thanksgiving dinner

I had very good time at Johnson Valley, as always. It was great to see the usual suspects, and the new folks.

Erik, we missed you.

Special thanks to Ron for letting me ride in his jeep, the provisions, and for wonderful gifts.
