Custom Trailer

In preperation for my new Miller welder, I need a trailer.

After visiting every trailer retailer in the area, I came to the conclusion that every utility trailer that would work for my application was junk. Just junk.

I knew I could build something better, and cheaper.

So far, my cost is zero dollars.

The steel I got from a buddy I work with that used to build trailers on the side. He's moving soon, and needs his huge steel stockpile gone. Not only did he give me the steel, but he took my drawing and cut it all to length for me.

Size is 50x98, all .125 wall. This thing is HEAVY.

My original wheel and tire plan didn't work out, so next up is ordering new rims and tires, and once I have those in hand and can measure them, I'll order the custom axle. While I'm waiting, I'll start the wiring.

It'll be skinned with a 4x8 sheet of .125 steel diamond plate.

Can't wait.

Finally, a home project I am enjoying.

we both like that and plan on using much of what your trailer is about.
