Since 1991...
Moscow officially recognized the independent status of the Baltic states on 6th of September 1991, then on December 8th leaders from Russia, Ukraine and Belarus agreed to disband the USSR at the meeting in Belovezhskaya Puscha. On December 25th the last General Secretary went on television and announced his step down. The Soviet flag was lowered from the Kremlin... Oh, they didn't tell you? They love you very much. Sorry you had to learn about it like this. Are you going to be allright? |

I am sorry, maybe I am wrong. Maybe US had nothing to do with it. Most likely it was unfriendly aliens from the planet Venus that defeated the USSR. Those green scoundrels just kept on spreading the venereal diseases...
I have no idea who controls the Russian senate, but as far as I know, the Russian senate has nothing to do with controlling the country. Which is repressed by gangs of bandits and racketeers. |

Just to explain to our American friends what's going on.
We are in a heated discussion that will slowly progress into a drunken fight. No need to get alarmed. We'll be punching each other in the face mercilessly for a while, then we gonna drink some more vodka, forgive, hug, and sing Russian songs until sunrise. |

Well, I'll be visiting my gf in NJ in a month or so. It's about 200 miles from where you are. Maybe we can meet somewhere in the middle, and punch the crap out of each other. She's an EMT, so she can patch us up after the fight.
