Wish us luck!

Tomorrow morning I go to sea for a while aboard the USS Bunker Hill (CG-52). It's heading to the Persian Gulf with the USS Constallation Battle Group (no loose lips,.....it's all over in the news here).

If things go well with the training we are conducting with the crew members, I'll be back soon. If not, it might be a loooong time till I return "Stateside".

My wife is taking on a big load (as she always does), so keep her in your prayers. Thanks.

Good luck Joe and thank you for doing the job that you do.

I know full well the sacrifices that are involved both on your part and that of your family.

Be safe and God Speed to you,

Frank

Thanks for taking care of us Joe. Please be safe and if you can't, find a good place to hide. Take more of those good pics for us. I sure enjoy them.

Blaine

Does that mean you won't be coming this way to wheel?
I also thank you for going where I don't want to go!

Joe,

I heard the announcement this morning on the radio while I was driving to work, although I did not realize your ship was in the battle group that was mentioned.

You and those that serve with you will be in my thoughts. Deployment is always tough and certainly is not easy for the loved ones that are left behind. May God protect you and yours.

Thanks for all the support & well wishes everyone. My wife sure appreciates the kind offers if a need arises. She sure is better at dealing with family issues than I. I guess that's part of what makes us a great family.

If all goes well for us (I'm going aboard with a training team, we're not actually part of the permanent crew), we'll be back sometime ~Veterans Day. But if things go sour, who knows.

Blaine,
If I capture any Tomahawk or Harpoon missile shots (as long as they are unclassified), I'll send them your way, or post here.

Ron,
Yep, duty calls. I emailed (maybe PM'd), you something recently mentioning my schedule has changed & that a NV trip was in jeopardy.

Again, Thanks!

I made it back safe & sound! My feet are dry once again. It was a busy 8 days at sea, that's for sure. Lots & lots of training for the crew of USS Bunker Hill, & they did a fine job. We brought them up to speed as fast as we could. They are more prepared now to do their mission. We were around the Hawaiian Op area, so they helo'd our team to Pearl Harbor & we flew to San Diego today via United Airlines.

It's good to be back home.
