Colorado!!!!!!

My sister is working in Florissant, CO this summer, and today I decided that I want to go visit her. I'm planning on being in the area probably between the 15th and the 20th of August. We'll probably be hiking and rafting and camping most of the time, but I want to take one day to show her what a real trail looks like. She always tells me how her friends drive up these gnarly trails in their Subarus, and I think she should know why I own a Jeep and not a Subaru Is there anyone in the area who might be willing to put up with us and show us around a trail or two one day?

I have a friend who lives in Breckenridge that might be able to join you for a run. It's ~70miles from her.

Would you consider this?

Check the staging area on http://www.colorado4x4.org/vbb

I'm sure you can find someone to burn a trail with.

Joe - Sure, I'm open to just about anything right now.

karstman - Thanks! I remembered Colorado4x4 from my last trip out to the mountains a few years ago, but couldn't remember the address. Colorado4x4.com and Colorado4x4.net got me nowhere, but I forgot to try Colorado4x4.org. Doh! Thanks again!

I'm getting excited already!

OK I got an update for you.

I talked to my sister and I guess we're going to be staying in and around Gunnison for most of the week, although we'll be camping the whole time, so we're pretty mobile.

Joe, if your friend is still interested and can wheel on a weekday, she would certainly be a welcome addition to the group. My weekends will unfortunately be chock full of a few thousand miles of interstate pavement, so it'll have to be a weekday. Talking to some of the people over at CO4x4, it seems like Wednesday or Thursday might work out best.

Sorry for the delay getting back to you about this. I'll point my friend in this direction & see if he can make a run while you folks are in his neck of the woods.

Hey Joe,

Why don't you have your friend send me an email SpikyJeepKid@hotmail.com

That might prove to be a bit more convenient.
