Bon Voyage "gifts" for the maiden trail run of a Bus (ZJ)

A friend with a great sense of humor is going on his maiden trail run with us next week. I want to put together some gag gifts to put in his Bus Breakdown Box.

I'm going to give it to him piece at a time in camp the night before the run in a typical "roast" style.

So, I'm looking for some ideas of funny things to put in the box.

I already have:

large roll of duct tape for re attaching body parts
red tape to fix tail lite lenses for the drive home (if he doens't need a tow
zip ties to hold things together
soothing mood music to calm him after he sees new body damage.
Bottle of asprin to help the music do its thing
a small wisk broom to get the dirt off the seat covers
and a 10% off coupon at the local body shop

any other ideas?

thanks,

- Dan

ps: to all bus drivers. This is truly in fun and in no way is slam on any of you or your rigs. Since he is the only one in our group with a ZJ and he has been riding along with us for years, we have to send him off in style

LOL Dan, good retort.

Now, to stay on your topic, as part of your gag, why don't you get some peper grocery bags and pack all your gag gifts up in those? Kinda keeps the theme of buses being grocery getters going

After riding shotgun with Paul several times ear plugs or one of those electronic noise canceling devices are a must.
(Visualize being drug across a boulder field inside a huge drum)

Dan it sounds like you are going soft with those bus guys. Hell the only reason we let Paul come along is to carry all the camping gear and beer.

A soccer ball? People always asked me where my soccer team was (at least they used to).

Curb feelers? Buses are a bit wider, so that might be funny, if you can find them.

A bottle of wax for sure... especially if he has one of the shiny, metalic bus colors.

Speaking of Paul, I saw in the latest issue of JP where his rig was proudly displayed along with a bunch of other minibuses in an article about their NAXJA tour. Cool.

I have read & reread your post Robert, but fail to find any sarcasm in it. Thanks. I havn't seen the mag yet.

I was really looking forward to picking a fight with Garry & Dan, but I think I'll just cut out while the going is good.

Paul

Paul,
While we certainly don't spare you the grief at times, the article was way cool. It was nice to see one of our own get some props in the mags for once. There was no sarcasm intended......but now don't go pushing your luck

Why, dont you guys be real men and do like Shalom and I do..

put the baby seats in the back.......

Just give it time Shalom, pretty soon, the back of your bus will be littered with

baby wipes

chew toys..

diaper bag

and a few ground up cheetos and some pretzel crumbs..

it just adds to the experience...

Zip tie some curb feelers to the rock rails if he has them. I showed up at a run like this once and called them "Ultra-Sonic Rock Detectors". They were a good 20" off the ground, so they looked pretty funny. Also, maybe a couple of short poles coming off the bumpers with the round orange balls on them to see how close you are to stuff. Maybe a back up signal that goes beep when in reverse.

How about a shoe horn to get his pants unstuck on way off camber stuff?

I have one of those large band-aid stickers that says "OUCH!" send me your address and I'll mail it to you today. You could also include a sticker on the bag you give the stuff to him in, that says "offical collection device for ZJ body parts"

Don't forget to bring a grocery list. (Goes right along with the soccer ball).

Maybe pickup a soccerball decal for the backwindow.

I think the first time I met Papromike a pacifier fell out of his passenger seat.
