Actually Erik, long time ago Borrego was mostly a lake. The Indians used it as a winter hunting ground. So whats that got to do with me booting around?
The Indians though a tribe were solitary people. They grouped together in families. Animals make tracks , the indians follow them and the early settlers followed the indians. Ok Devils canyon more then a hwy. Couple years ago I found a bunch of pottery fragments up on the ridge of table mountain. More then likely an indian village. So how did thay get down to the desert? Theres a couple of ways. The La Jolla and coastal indians used the Oriflamme Creek. Inko Pa used either Carrizo or perhaps DC or both. Heres the tracks so far east of 8. I dont think the indians used some of the washes just plain to hard to travel. So which way did they come down from Table? An area in the Blue tracks is where I found the pottery. |
