GPS and Google Earth
I was viewing Matts JV virtual tour. So I played around with Google plus also. Heres Laying down my route into Baja.
The following pics are from Google Earth plus Green = What was planned (mapping using topo and google) Red = What was real on the way in (GPS tracks) Blue = What was real on the way out (GPS tracks) What I learned was once I was in tight quarters I need to step up track points. I'll be going back down in a week or 2. I'll track the back side of the mountain. |

Vern, How were you able to display your route in Google earth with the red and blue tracks?
When I display my garmin tracks on GE it becomes a mess of all the data tags for each 'ping' of the GPS

Matt,
You need to open up the GPS folder. Turn off everything except the routes. If you stored waypoints turn them off. All points need to be de activated. As long as the routes are the only ones active you will be good to go. V |
