Lower Big Johnson is a quick, fun trail too. The guys I go with like to run it Friday afternoon for a check out run.
I've yet to run Upper Big Johnson. It's the only one besides Back Door that I haven't run. Back Door isn't even on the list of trails I want to try, heheh.

Hi chef! Glad to see you made your way over here. This should be a fantastic run!
BTW: Nice video (from what I watched so far). Later today I'll try to watch the rest of the 55 minute clip that I haven't seen yet. PS: Did you email/PM Paradiddle yet? I still need to. |

i started reading the thread and saw mr blaines email address, so i followed through with his request for emails. i got distracted and never got around to email paradiddle, i'll do that now thanks for the reminder.
it's a long video but shows a lot of the obstacles and names the trails, which is cool. lots of great videos in the same directory. |

I haven't driven in JV yet, but this is a perfect opportunity to get my feet wet. So yep, I'm one of the Rookies, everybody is at some time or another. |

I guess I would be a rookie. I have done Fordyce and the Rubicon but no Hammers yet. I am still open up front with a Currie 9 in the rear. Think I could make it?

Rock Stacking Fee
Dear Rookie?s,
Please practice scraping the underside of your Jeep on any hard object to get used to the sound, and be sure to practice your throttle control and the maneuver known as ?Bump It?. This year I?m charging a rock movers fee. The fees will be as follows: .5 ? for tossing rock to get your attention. .10 ? for putting rocks under the driver?s front tire. .15 ? for putting rocks under the passenger?s side front tire. .20 ? for putting rocks under the driver?s rear tire. .25 ? for putting rocks under the passenger?s side rear tire. .30 ? for putting rocks under a combination of any two tires. .50 ? for putting more than one rock anywhere near your Jeep. .75 ? for telling you to ?Bump It? and then having to stack rocks when you don?t. $1.00 for going down the trial to get more rocks because you have spun your tires and now all of the rocks I put there have been thrown down the trail by your lack of throttle control. $1.50 for finding the ?Perfect Rock? that?s just big enough to get you unstuck. I?m just kidding I?m looking forward to the Rookie run. Kat |

Sergey, is it true that if you liberally applied your famous potted meat to a slashed sidewall that it will still hold air? Otherwise known as #1712 of ways to use potted meat.

After the plugs have been inserted, you can liberally apply potted meat to the outside sticking plugs. The partially defatted pork fatty tissue in potted meat keeps the plug ends lubricated and lets them brush against the rocks without being pulled out. |
