Old Land Slide

Went out back packing to an old land slide area. But on the way there was a train heading off to the Carrizo Gorge. It was about a 1/4 mile in front of me so I got heavy on the peddle. I caught the train on a turn and was about 1000 ft in front. I jumped out and grabbed my camera....it no shootie. The battery pack was loose!. As I fumbled with the battery the train scooted by. There was 2 guys strapped to the front looking at the tracks, the engineer had his camera out and was snapping at me....Dang I only caught the tail end...

Heres a Sat pic of the area I went into. A rock is circled. How big is it?

The train...I think I'm going to get the schedule. That would be a cool shot from above Carrizo Gorge coming out of one of them tunnels, shot from above, from the Table mountain area!

The rock...perhaps 80ft tall. A big chunk of the mountain came down about 100 years ago I think. There was a water spot under side where there was a stain. All the debre from that slide was really big.

Rest Here
