Hey guys how do you know if your T-case needs fluid or not?

there are two huge hex head covers on the back of the tcase
the top one is the fill line, if you unscrew the top one, assuming your tcase is level, fluid should barely seep out if it is below the fill plug fill it till fluid starts to flow out
