If you want it (it's for a 91-95 4.0L YJ) it's yours if the bid is right. My Jeep was AEM's test vehicle. |

or it could be off a 89-92 GM 3.3L V6.

I like the thoughts of that intake. I really like the thoughts of getting rid of my K&N. (Unfortunately, I traded off my stock intake after going with a Turbo City K&N setup).
How could a guy that lives hundreds of miles from the nearest wrecking yard get a hold of a set up like that?

the rest of the parts are Blaine's department.

Here is the Info I found on it.
http://www.jeepfreedom.com/html/airbox_replacement.html I'm going to pick one up tomorrow I found on www.car-part.com I searched for a 1992 Buick Century with 3.3L V6. It also pulled up box's from 89-93. |

Well, I couldn't pull off Blaine's airbox trick with the 3.3L box... as usual the under hood configuration of the 4cyl TJ makes everything "tight" back in that area.
BUT, I found a rather unique compromise solution... What are the ramifications of having the airbox on its head? Pretty much no weep holes for drainage comes to mind. But other than that, it fits very nicely oriented this way. I have the 90* piece on just for the picture, as I haven't marked for the hole yet, but I really do like the way it all lines up, actually. It doesn't even look all too bizarre Thoughts? |

Good thought.
I will be marking out the hole and drilling this weekend. Just picked up a 2.5" bi-metal hole saw, and some pieces from the electrical section of Home Depot to make an insert fitting for the hole, and for the CCV tube connection to the airbox. |

Decided to do mine. Picked up the airbox at Pick-n-pull and connector at Lowe's yesterday and put it on this morning. Bye-bye K&N, I will not miss you. The filter in the box looked like it was just put in before the car was junked. It's a Fram, so it will be replaced pretty soon, but don't have to just yet. What are good air filters?

Bolted the York back in. This airbox is God-sent.
Does anyone know how many CFM it flows, and compared to stock? |

I don't know what it can flow, but were I concerned, I'd change the filter more frequently to compensate.

x2. I learned my lesson. I have mine connected through the cowl. I was checking the filter at the last oil change, it was packed with dirt. The air (and dirt) was getting though the edge of the air box where it snaps together. I check it now after every time I take it off road.
