Good News

Jon at Winchline.com picked up our Safety Thimble as his preferred method for an end terminal on their synthetic line and reports that it sold well on the first day.

that's good news indeed Blaine

Once I get the CJ7 to TX, I'll be switching to syn line on that one as well, so I'll give your thimble a try ...

Thanks, we've been peddling this thing for a year and sending samples to anyone we thought might be interested in supplying it already spliced onto a rope, but no one has shown any interest until Jon came along.

We are very glad he took a chance with our product. Makes it even nicer that we got to wheel with him in JV over Thanksgiving and show him how well it works.

Awesome! I'm sure it'll prove to be a mutually beneficial pairing for you both. I'd venture to guess that there are some people who don't want to hassle taking apart a brand new winch rope and tossing a new hook to put on the thimble. Likewise, I'm sure that the availability of the thimble will sway many towards Winchline in an otherwise crowded market.

Good luck to you both!

Very cool for you.

Do you know if there is any chance the combo will be available for shipping in time for new years? I could use a new rope before i go out.

Likely not, but I have a spare line you are more than welcome to borrow for as long as you need it. I should have a few thimbles here in a couple of days also.

Very cool, Jon is a great guy and this sounds like a mutually beneficial deal. Now how do I get rid of the hook on my Viking line and splice on a thimble?

Congrats on picking up your first dealer Blaine! To help get the word out and get more sales, how about submitting an article on the thimble with photos to the various 4x4 magazines like Jp and 4Wheel Drive & Sport Utility? They invite the submission of articles, I'm betting one or the other would run it.

Slight clarification, Jon is not our first thimble dealer, he's the first to offer it pre-installed on the lines.

As far as the magazines go, we did send one to the tech guru on POR for his recovery article and as far as I can tell, nothing ever came of it.

We've also enlisted the aid of a few folks with supposed connections to a magazine here and there with the same results.

And the same with the samples we've sent to various line suppliers with the exception of Jon.

Excellent news!

One of these days I'll swap out my dinosaur wire & step into the 20th century and run the thimble too.

I love mine. Splicing it in was easy too. Now I just need to pick up couple more shackles.
