Crud

Well,
I had it and good. I've been sick for well over a week now and am only at work today because I need to get moving again. I am not sure how I got it but I ended up with a pretty severe upper respiratory infection. I sincerely hope that others have managed to dodge this nonsense. According to the ER doc who I saw Weds, its fairly common around the LA area these days. After 2000mgs of Keflex a day for the past several days, I am finally starting to feel normal again. Blahh

Anyways, now that I am no longer MIA, I'd like to wish everyone a happy new year. I hope your holidays found you all well and with family and friends. 2006 looks to be a great year for me and I wish that for all of you as well.

Joe Dillard. Thanx for calling and checking in on me. That was much appreciated.

Larry Nickell. I think I sent kendra to the bank Friday and she deposited your check in my account for me. I should get your package out to you sometime this week.

Robert,

Sounds like you and I have been hanging out at the same seedy spots. Like you, I was sick from pretty much the 22nd until now. I was stubborn and didn't see the doc, only suffering further as a result (big mistake, when will I learn ). So, my holidays were pretty much trashed by this thing as well.

Hope you get better soon Jeff. Go to the doctor and get on a 'cillin drug if you haven't already. That is the only thing that knocked my fever down and got me moving forward again.

As for trashing my holidays, yea, I can relate. We had a cabin up in Big Bear for New Years and were set to do some skiing and 4 wheeling but that didn't happen. All I can say is watching the New York ball drop 3 hours after the fact from my couch sucks azz.

Glad you're feeling better. Nothing worse than being stuck at home sick when you had been looking forward to a trip....

It's not just the LA area. My parents, fiance', and I have all been sick over the past two weeks. Had to take the fiance' to urgent care Saturday morning because she was so bad. They didn't prescribe any antibiotics, though, just some cough syrup with codene that didn't do squat for her....

I was sick way too much last year - mono kicked my butt from the end of October to around Thanksgiving, only to get this crap just before Christmas. Hopefully '06 will be better....
