Do O2 sensors have fixed wire lengths?

In the great ditch mashing I managed to pull the wires from the plug on the o2 sensor...If I scrounge up another plug, can I mate the wires, or are they fixed length, similar to a pyrometer sensor on an EGT gauge?

Wire length on the 02 sensor is not critical, they're spliced together and spliced onto various plug types all the time.

no, they are not fixed in the lengths of wire they must have. in fact, most of the aftermarket replacement O2 sensors only have bundle of wires sticking out of them. you then must fabricate your factory end to the remaining wires once you cut off the factory connecter. they'll include everything you need to finish the connector off...but the length of the wire is definitely up to you and your cutting hand.
