Ron's Custom Shop -- NOT

For those of you that may have caught my D44 Diff Guard thread.....

Ron contacted me earlier today and asked that I post to the various forums I frequent as he and I have exchanged a number of e-mails during the past couple of weeks.

The building where he had been making his diff guards and such closed their doors today and he no longer has a facility in which to do his fab work. He hopes to have something in place by the summer time frame and can once again get back to the fab business.

He said he would keep his web site updated as more info is available. He also said he has some guards remaining and can fill some orders but that he has no low clearance gaurds available.

I personally hope to see Ron back in the fab world soon, as I think he makes a good produce for a fair price.

I assume he has/is handling any unfilled orders with those people that were expecting one from him.

If you want further information, you will need to contact Ron directly....his e-mail address is on his web site.

Deaver,

Thanks for updating this thread. I should have done it myself, but I simply spaced it out.

I have one of his diff guards too. I didn't really care for the red, so I painted it.

Doesn't look to me from the 2nd pic that the diff guard is doing such a great job for the ring gear on your 8.8 there Joe. I think a rock ring might do you better. As it stands, it appears that it is simply protecting the bottom portion of the diff cover, unless that is distorted due to the the angle the photo was taken at.

You're right Robert. It doesn't protect it as well as it should, but that's mostly due to my pinion angle. I'm considering adding to it so it does a better job at protecting the ring gear top to bottom. It's hard to tell by the second pic, but it does pertrude beyond the ring gear area of the diff cover some, but not really enough.
