Quick question about Howe reservoir

Got my reservoir today, got a suprise. I assumed the hydroboost return would be a male -6, instead it has a female fitting. Is this a 1/8" NPT? I need to pick up a barb fitting tomorrow for it.

Thanks-

That is kind of lame.

I would pick up an adapater to convert the NPT over to a -6 and go from there.

It looks to be 1/8" NPT. We have the reservoir we just installed on Jeff's rig. Since the return on the hydroboost itself is a single barb for 3/8" low pressure line, I see no reason to covert to -6 anything and we will just install a 90 degree 1/8"NPT x 3/8" hose barb and put a clamp on it.

I was thinking the same thing, it is just a low pressure line. On my reservoir, the bung is welded just below the baffle, seems to be in a better place than near the return line like on Jeff's. I tried a 1/8 NPT fitting in it, fit fine, my concern was being aluminum, if it was the wrong fitting, I would ruin it when I tighten it down.

I couldn't find a 1/8 NPT to 3/8 barb, ended up having to get a few more fittings to make it work. I also noticed the -6 fitting on my PSC reservoir screws in, not welded. I'll take it apart and try to see if it fits.
