Another busted weld
Well, I was on my way to work last Monday and another piece of my SwayLOC('05) fell into the road as I pulled onto the 18. The wing with the LOC notch in it separated from the spline block. It only had 1/16" of weld to hold the weight of a Jeep from swaying? Back to the shop with it and upgrade the welds! I am so lucky to be able to fix this stuff I've paid hundreds of dollars for!?!? HWY 18 and 330 taking its toll I guess. Any one else busting their SwayLOC? After this I should have it all dialed in.

He is aware of the issue and should have no problem providing you with updated pieces. If you'd like, I can call him for you.

Not to hijack this thread but I noticed you live in Arrowbear Al, a really wonderful area I have great memories of. Is the Arrowbear Music Camp still going strong I hope? I spent a lot of quality fun time there in the late 50's and early sixties as a young musician.

I'll give Steve a call tomorrow. The last time he sent me a replacement arm (drivers side) it was the same part and broke again in a few months, so I reassembled it and have not had a problem untill now. In '06 I pulled into extremeunlimited with a busted inner torsion bar with two more Jeeps sitting in the lot with the same issue. I am just glad they did not make my lift ';>)
Thank's for the heads up Blaine! Yes, Band Camp is there. MMM Warm Apple Pie....Al a mode Al |
