Not yet. You need a flashy name, like "Keyboar Cowboy" or "Jeepzzz Forewaa". How about, "Handsome Rob"?!!

Speaking of...I never understood the necessity/desire to use aliases.

If I have some useful info too add, I post it.

If I have a question, I'll ask it.

If I make a mistake, I hope somebody will correct me (I don't want to perpetuate misinformation let alone continue to believe in it myself).

And if I make a mistake and recognize it, I'll own up to it (and I've made a few duzzy's in my time).

Hence, I'm willing to let folks know my name: it's Darrell. If you want to know more about me...just ask (be prepared to fall asleep )

You never understood in a sense you want it explained to you, or in a sense you are calling anyone using an alias bad?

Definitely not the latter, Sergey. Just because I don't understand something, or feel the situation/circumstance doesn't work for me, doesn't mean it's not meaningful/useful to others.

Consequently, of the two choices you offered, it would be the former.

The Wrangler forum was up most of the afternoon, now it's down and bringing you to some page you can't use to get back to the forums. It's messed up...

Its back up, and I already indirectly called at least one person a dumb ass. I feel more relaxed now

Ya see, that's the difference. calm waters, soft music, dim lights, vintage wine, cloth napkins, and there, greasy tables, flourescent lights, warm beer, paper towels...

I use an alias which is why you don't see my middle initial like Robert. He's the bold one.

I've never felt the need for an alias, though if I were on a board merely to stir stuff up I guess I'd come up with an alias like NOTJEFFWESTON.

Ask William what measures some idiots will go to to mess with you if they know who you are. (not that William stirs things up )

Robert - I wasn't bashing JU as a place to hang out and kick sand occasionally - I was bashing their complete lack of IT sense.

NO server move should be down this long. We moved a friggen data center (200 servers a mix of NT, DB2, Unix, and Sun) in a three day weekend with no downtime - and this was from Torrance to Newport Beach.

I'm trying to be 'low key' and make the dumb ass part hard to read for the poster. I made the j-walker crack in this thread ; http://www.jeepsunlimited.com/forums...hreadid=398762

And now that the search is working a bit, all the good stuff from previous years seems to have been deleted.

I printed out posts of value and stuffed them in a folder. I may only use one or two of the ideas but...

after Hairy took his site down, I realized that there was good info that was completely at risk of never being available again.

That spelling of his name seems appropriate and a little funny, then again maybe it's just the late hour talking Hell, I'd vote for referring to him as "He who shall not be named" given all of the Harry (or would that be Hairy) Potter interest as of late

Live and learn I guess. At the time I figured that something was cool but I didn't have the cash to do it, I'd come back when I did, get the info and go from there. Or it was something I didn't see myself doing and now I am and wanted info.

Then the mods bitch if I bring up the fact that even though the search works, all the good decent debates on brands or ideas are gone.

It's such a shame.

Now I'll just have to dig around here for a while and hope to find my questions answered.

EDIT:

g'pn Jake, can you get this thread on JU... http://www.jeepsunlimited.com/forums...hreadid=399123

If so, leave a post in it. I guess you aren't the only one with issues. Some people can get it from work and not home. Some can get it at home and not at work. I can get it from both locations.
