Fastener Q wrt corner guards.

Folks,

I picked up a pair of corner guards (Warrior steel) for my brother's B-day, and since I figured I was such a good boy (and I have a dented 1/4 panel to cover) I bought a pair for myself. Anyway, we installed his this weekend and all went well using the supplied pop-rivets. Unfortunately, they only inclued 8 rivets per side which isn't enough so we had to borrow some from my kit.

I've discovered that finding some black pop rivets is no easy task. First, anybody know of any specialty fastener stores in the L.A. area that would have black 3/16"x5/8"L rivets?

Should I consider using different fasteners for the install? I've thought of using some stainless or black button head bolts. Since I'll probably never remove them other than to replace them, I'm not sure if rivets aren't the way to go.

Would using any color rivet and then taking a model brush and some paint to color them work?
