Lookign for info on overseas camping tour groups

Hey all.

Have any of you outdoor types ever come across sites or companies that organize camping trips/hikes overseas in other countries.

Depending on how things work out for me, I and my co-advisor for the Outdoor Club want to plan next years budget and trip ideas and this was something were were thinking of doing. The kids would have to pay their way but we'll have to put together a proposal for approval.

So can anyone help me out. I know I have seen them, and there are some that give discounts t students and their teachers. I just haven't seen them for a long time.

I think you should take all the kids on a minefield stroll in the desert of Iraq - it would be exciting!!!

Whatever you do, don't take any of your American money to France.

LOL.... "Whoever comes back in one piece gets a free trip next time around!!"

I think we were looking more into Spain, Germany, Italy, possibly Turkey, Netherlands, England, Scotland and Australia.

I just came across this one:

If you are thinking as far away as Australia, then take a look here also. I'd prefer New Zealand, but I'm a little biased

Hi Jamie

I'm with Kiwi,

Either New Zealand (Breatakingly Beautiful) or Australia (Ditto)

Here's a good link to investigate.

http://www.australia.com/home_US.aus...er=y&L=en&C=US

Both country's offer incredible safety. To put in in perspective, in 2000 the entire country of Australia had less then 300 murders. Washington D.C. the same year had over 2,800.

No language barrier, and Oh So Welcoming to American's. And realitivey Cheap too, $1800 for air fare and hotels for 2 weeks.

And Yes, be a good girl and listen to Jeff, Do Not bring any of your American Dollars to France!

Frank
