Ron,

Although mine was fairly quiet from the start, what Robert said is usually the case.

In 2WD, I have no t-caes noise.....it is not until I hit 3rd gear in LO range that I hear the whine. If 3rd gear, LO range is not fast enough for the situation I am in, I switch back to HI range, 1st gear unless I know it is going to be just a very short stretch of trail before I need the LO gears again.

Now go out and get some LO range miles racked up on it!

I did 25 howling miles today. The crunching that I was ticked about got smothered with a howl that would come and go. The howl seems to be gone and the crunching is getting better. When parked in neutral it sounds like a real nice free wheeling crunch instead of a disaster ready to happen crunch. Having to break this thing in like this is just not right but I will get through it. I'm glad I live in the desert and am retired or I would........
really be angry.

Ron,
Don't get angry... get even and growl back! Am I going to have to put up with this next time I see you?
