Ron,
Easy on the testosterone! I tried to explain to you that I was teasing... that’s what I do with my friends.

Way back in January, you were asking all about the front locker... remember that?

I was there to help then, and now. I skipped a smiley face by accident, which made the post look mean. Not my intention.

It's funny scott, all the money from a real job and you don't break much. Suddden pay cut and they just pop out of the wood work.

Oh and as for my jeep?

The short history of this Jeep (my 3rd).

I bought the Sahara that I own now in march of 1998. It came with the 30/35, which I promptly swapped out that year for a built 30/ 44, 4.56 Detroit rear, EZ front. Hence 2 sets of axles, of which I have 3 years on the Detroit f/r.

Since that time, my Jeep has 60k miles on it, and wheelin' trips to Rubicon (at least 22 by my count), Hells Revenge, Gold Bar, Golden Spike, Moab Rim, Hollister, Frank Raines, Ramsey, Anza Borrego Desert, and Corral Canyon.

I've NEVER roasted a u-joint. These shafts are exactly the same set as were in the Jeep the DAY I bought it (yes, I kept the axles I had when I did the swap). And the tie rod? Its been an RE since the first lift.

I am not a rich man and spend my money rather frugally. Note that most of the major upgrades I did were to second hand parts (Axles, T-case, etc) I drive for survival and will not abuse my equipment for the sake of amusement.

Well after reading all this stuff I went out to look at the Jeep and guess what......

The Drag link is what bent the tie rod go figure. I guess I need to hit the lottery or have one of the guys from Fridays interviews calls me.

Any Chance someone has a drag link for a good price. I have one but I belive it is spoken for.

side note

Blaine was right again when I said I was having alignment problems he said it was a drag link problem I said looks fine to me. I guess I should have looked a little harder.

But you sure did let William drive off in it!

Now that made for good amusement.. mostly at my expense.

I run 35's with a lock right and 3.73's behind a V-8 in my ZJ. Run it through the con twice, and I wheel about 3 weekends a month out here in boulder. Haven't had any problems, and this is through stock CV jointed axles.
