Third annual Hammers by Moonlight

After many inquiries I checked the calendar and the weekend of September has a full moon on Saturday morning the twenty-first. This will work out pretty well because ARCA is at JV that weekend. IT doesn?t get any better, watch extreme rock crawling during the day and visit primal fear that evening on Jack.

Garry, I really am going to try to be there. I don't know if the Willys and I are up to a Hammer trail-we shall see. I am doing everything I can to make this trip happen.

Since I won't take my rig over Jack after dark and the likelyhood of riding with Garry under similar circumstances is about the same, I vote we do Outer Limits.

Not the same level of pucker, but the difficulty is there and it is argueably the most fun trail in JV.

Any Takers?

I'm sorry, I just can't see going up or down that big ass razorback on bowling balls, with rocklites.

Perhaps Sergey could comment.

I just put it on the calander. but no garentee that is right when the kids go back to school.

Blaine,

I am sure you can hold your breath just as good at night as you can during the day and you wont be able to see the drop off, that might make it a lot easier.

I am full agreement with Blaine on this one - I am not even interested in doing Jack during the day, much less at night
Maybe we can set-up 2 runs????

Thumbs up You bet

I plan on attending. I want to see if we can get home when it is dark and not see the sun rise.

Are you saying riding with Gary is a grave sin?

I thought that fliping off your spotter was a grave sin.

Just ask Don!

Now that is funny!

William to Wife day before Hammers Trip:
"No - really honey - it's this Navy thing for the poor. I'll only be gone a couple days. No, it's not for family - only for the military folks - you know, kinda like a thank you from Uncle Sam to the poor - you know, thanksf or being....ummm....uhhh....well poor. We serve them soup and stuff like that. Ok - well, I'll see you after the weekend..."

Don't blow williams cover

I don't know if Garry does moolight night runs like we used to but, we use NO ARTIFICIAL lights unless absolutely needed. Your eyes will adjust to the moon light and you can usually see much better than you would expect.

I would like to go. I don't think my Jeep can make it over but I'd like to watch you guys do it.

Let me also toss in there, from my understanding it's short enough to walk ( I could be wrong, I've never been there) so if there are no extra seats I'll just hike along, it's rockCRAWLING not sprinting right?

Anywho, if anyone has a question or concenr for me PM me and I'll get right back to you.
