Stupid Is As Stupid Does.........

I've been going through my Jeep fixing stuff and routine maintenance.
So far I've found:

Front side blinker was wired wrong.
My new stereo ground wire was attached to dash light wire.
Rear upper RE control arms were mounted upside down. I couldn't get the grease gun to the fittings.
A bolt was used on a lower control arm that didn't have enough threads to fully tighten it.
Not enough RTV on a diff cover, causing it to leak.

All these things added up reminded me of what the old Swede said,

"If I wanted some dumb SOB to f*#k things up, I'd do it myself".

I think I have you beat.

Couple years ago we were doing a SOA on my CJ. We lifted the Jeep, supported it on jackstands and started to cut off the U-Bolts.

I got throught the first U-Bolt and starting on the second when I realized that my "buddy's" put the Jack Stands on the axels.


It may take a second....but think about it.

You would have still been spring under. Except in this case, if you would have continued, you'd be REALLY spring under!

Probably - its driveable again (it wasn't really down) but still few things to work out. I don't do Waiparous or McClean on long weekends. Too many idiots.
