JV Today

Larry and friend John arrive this afternoon. Jon and I arrived yesterday.

Today Jon and I had a fun day on Sledgehammer and Wrecking Ball.

We completed Sledge Hammer in 45 minutes and then went over to Wrecking Ball which took us an hour. However, it took us over an hour to find Wrecking Ball! Jon continued on to do another run with Tom from PSC and some of his friends.

Jon drove right up and over the last waterfall on Wrecking Ball. Sooo, I thought sure I can do that! Wrong, about nearly crapped my pants! Jon hooked my winch line up and over I went. The only time i needed my line.

Very nice job you two. Glad to see Larry and friends made it out.

You forgot to let everyone know which campsite we have.

I'm heading out early in the AM, will try to be there by no later than 9 depending on traffic.

We are nicely tucked in the orginal camp site. The zoo is on the lake bed.

We'll be waiting for you!

Here is a slideshow of Jon and I. Enjoy!

Looks like a blast. Wish I could make it out this week.

How are you guys sitting as far as firewood is concerned?

I ask because I can get it for $25 per wheel barrel for oak/almond/pinon, or $20 for pine if you think you'll need some.

I picked up 2 wheel barrels of mixed oak/pinon on my way home from work today.

I'll need to know by later today if you want some.

We are headed out late Wednesday as well.

What time are you leaving Matt? Maybe we can head up together.

If you had Iroks they would be flat the next morning.

So I guess Larrys new axel is holding up so far.

I wonder if he drove it the "required" 500 miles to break it in before wheelin' it?

I allways "plan" to be on the road to JV by noon.

Last minute packing, firewood, grocery store, gas... before I know it it's 3pm.

How about I call you when I'm getting close to leaving?

That sounds good...

Are you towing your Jeep or driving it? We are towing my Jeep behind the motorhome...just a word of fair warning.

Id like to think we would be on the road by 3pm...but its really hard to say. Technically, I'm supposed to be working until 5pm But working from home might make it a bit easier to sneak away earlier.

Any news on where the checkpoints are yet? There hasn't been an update on the KOH website since Sunday.
