Cutch,

For the D30 high pinion front axle in my 2000 TJ, I went with Superior Super 30 alloy axles along with a Warn large (5 on 5.5) front hub conversion with Warn alloy outers. For the rear D44, I went with Superior Super 44 alloy axles. I also have ARB air lockers in both the front & rear. For my Tom Woods front & rear drivelines, I went with his Gold Seal U-joints in those (which are at least higher strength over the stock versions, although they certainly aren't CTM's).

In terms of my axle upgrades, I probably have made my ring & pinion gears (4.56) the weak point, which may not be the best approach, but I nevertheless wanted to go with higher strength axles and better U-joints when I previously made the move up from 33" to 35" tires.

I typically don't do much of the more extreme JV type of stuff that Blaine & company get into, so the above set up has worked well for me so far. However, now that I have a V8 in my TJ, I have enough power to more easily break things, so I just take it easy and try not get on the go-pedal too much in the wrong situations.

Don

on both the TJ and CJ7 they're all Warn and Superior axles with Spicer u-joints
Why? -> do it right the first time around (seen too many off brand 'extra-strength' axles break )
