Leaving the hobby

I think the time has finally come for me to take a leave of this hobby. I won't bore you with details or whining, my life is just far different now than it was before, particularly since my divorce. The passion I felt for rockcrawling isn't there anymore, and my rig is just taking up space in my garage.

So, I guess my junk is for sale. Some of you know the specifics. If you know anyone interested in a turnkey rockcrawler, send 'em my way.

I suppose, if worse comes to worse, I'll part it, but I prefer not to do that at this time.

This isn't some Net sob story. Just wanted to say I've met some great folks in this sports and had some fantastic times. I'll miss it and only hope to be in a more stable position someday to return.

Sorry to hear that you are giving up wheeling. To me, a true Jeeper always knows when to quit. Best of luck.

Thumbs up

Why don't you sit on this decision for a while before selling the Jeep. Divorce will make you not want to do anything fun for a while, they're simply a very depressing thing to go through. I know that's how I felt after mine. It suddenly gets better, then you'll get interested in the fun things you used to do again... personal experience talking here.

Life goes on.

I've been passionate about dirt bikes, dune buggys, boats, guns, knives, woodworking, skiing (both snow and water), women and a few other things.

I'll probably always love women and wood.

Just have fun and enjoy what ever you're doing at the time.

Thanks for the kind words, guys. It's been a blast wheeling and building my rig, man, good times.

I'm sorta getting into motorcycling again. I've got a Ducati Monster 900 stripped down to the frame in my garage that I'm rebuilding and I'm interesting in buying a 999, too.

Jerry, my wife and I are still on good terms and have been split for a year. This isn't a rash decision; I've been thinking about it for quite some time now.

I'm going to post a thread in the for sale section with all the specs.

Thanks again, folks.
