Hello Everyone

Just stumbled onto this board from a link off of Nailers new website. Didn't even know this place existed until then.

I saw it fitting to go ahead and vote to ban him using my very first post.

Anyhow, onto me

Name is Donny, i go by Pondscum on all jeep forums i frequent. My Jeep got named mostly by the color of it, and a small incident i had with a watering hole the first time i took my jeep offroad (long story).

I've been into Jeeps for awhile mostly due to my co-workers. We've got a small "gang" at work of offroaders and our numbers keep growing. Currently 12 of us now, and more and more people are getting bit by the Jeep bug at work.

I work on Camp Pendleton, CA. NOT a marine though. I'm in the Navy and fly those loud, annoying hovercrafts that some of you SOCAL people might hear and see out in the waters.

Not much else to say i figured i'd use my second post to introduce myself now i'm heading to the other areas of these forums to take a look around.

Oh yeah, i'm always up for a trail ride and can usually get 2-8 others to join in. We usually run LCIR in Warner Springs just because it's close to us, but we are always looking for other areas to run and new people to meet.

Hi Donny,

Welcome to the board.

Couple of notes;

"Marine" is always capitalized, navy is optional.

For Example;

"I am a Marine (ret.). Donny is in the navy and flies those loud, annoying hovercrafts......"

Just playing with you some.

Thank you for serving and for driving all those "Marines" all over the planet!

God Bless,

Frank

How about i capitalize "Jarhead" and we call it even?

heck, you can even keep "squid" lower case and i'll take no offense.

Rides are easily available. Few rules, but nothing unbearable....

1) Has to be during the daytime.

2) Anyone going has to be over the age of 8.

3) Monday-Thursday only. (Friday missions are very rare and we don't work on weekends).

4) There isn't a rule on how many can go, but there are only 2 seats available that have a view. You could either go with a friend and both have a view the whole time or go with several others and just swap around the 2 good seats with the non-view seats.

Other then that it's just a matter of setting up a day and time to go for the ride.
