Spindle
TJ's and YJ's (stock) don't have one, they have a sealed hub ass'y.
On a conventional front end, the spindle is the part the wheel bearings ride on and the outer axle stub shaft goes inside (to the lock-out hubs). You need to look at a pic to make it clear. 2000 TJ 4.0L, A/T, all factory options. Jeep Rater Score 360 http://www.hellbender.rockcrawler.com/ NRA Lifetime Member

HB is correct.
A spindle or any spindle is to carry the bearings. The companion to this is the hub which carries the races for the bearings that fit onto the spindle. The part you are thinking of Ace, is called a stub axle. The stub axle goes through the spindle and into the drive flange of the locking hub. It is not who you know, It is who knows you Jeeps do not make jeepers, jeepers make Jeeps.
