Back from the Sea..

Well,

I was flying around in my vintage HH-46D burning JP-5/F-44 (jet fuel) @ 240 gallons per hour. The only problems with that is I flew 65 hours (that is three times as many hours as the Marines were getting) in two weeks wearing a dry suit the entire time. The weather was dog crap and I spent way too much time with my demented little brothers (marines).

Thanks for you tax dollars.

I did however stop by my local 4x4 shop and make an appointment to have the spacers put in next Tuesday.

Cool, a Sea Knight pilot!

Thank you for your work, don’t worry about the tax dollars, we got plenty of those.

So what do you do? Replenishments? Just fly around see what’s up? Search and rescue?

Oh yes, and how is your JP-5/F-44 different from kerosene?

You are paying someone to work on your jeep?? to add spacers?? spend the money on tools and do the work yourself.

Hey,
I've been flying the Sea Knight for almost 2,000 hours. Total flight time over 3,200. We do the vertical replenishment thing (similar to stealing your in-laws exploder and doing donuts on a icy parking lot. Lots of fun and you don't get in trouble for breaking your stuff), we do the ASAR amphibious search and rescue and NSW Special warfare.

The JP and F fuels are so similar to Kerosene that we can use it in an emergency. The engines won't like it but, they will eat it.

I was the Officer in charge of 30 other rebelious punks. Now I know why my last OIC had grey hair. I gave it to him.

Scott,
I just moved into a new house. I can't find anything but boxes. So, putting it on myself probably isn't a good thing right now.
