Lights, drum roll........ And the raffle winner is......

Rather than do the drawing my self, I picked a panel of impartial, star personnel.

First, the raffle ticket holder:
This is PN2 Hoagland. She has been on active duty for 2 years, and has been selected as Junior Sailor of the Quarter for Personnel Support Activity West ~ Which encompasses about 2000 military personnel.

My star clerk, helping us maintain accuracy in excess of 99 percent for the last 3 months!

The raffle ticket puller:

This is PNC Vanterpool. He made E7 in 10 years. He has helped me pass several major inspections, helped me advance to E6, and also pulled my @$$ out of hot water once or twice. He also owns two Jeeps (although one is 2WD).

Here's all the numbers in a certified Navy Issue, combination cover:

Sooo the drawing is held:

And the winner is.....

Soo.. Who's raffle tickets number matches?

I don't know who's numbers are what, so I'm curious as all get up as to who has the winning number!

Many thanks to my co workers for participating.. They still wonder why I get checks in the mail all the time!!

And ALSO a big thanks to the everyone who participated. Your support makes the operation of this board much easier. Currently the cost per month is getting near the cost of a car payment, so anything and everything helps! THANKS EVERYONE!!!!

There will be a new raffle coming soon. We are looking for anything that people may want to donate as prizes to the raffle.. please email me if you have questions or donations!

I never got any ticket stubbs so how do I know if I won or got ripped off

Thanx for a fine job William and thanx to those helping you - I guess having the military oversee this ensures that you play fair as the raffle coordinator

William, thank you very much for taking care of this raffle. Job well done! That was a nice way to pick a winner.

I have the ticket numbers in my home computer. I don’t remember whose number is that, but one thing for sure it is not Robert’s. Sorry Robert, you did not win this time please try again.

P.S. Robert, and anyone else who didn’t receive the raffle entry confirmation e-mail, give me your current e-mail address, I’ll stick it in the program that sends out raffle ticket numbers.

Wow, that one I got was the red headed step child of the bunch, no wonder I didn't win

Congrats there Stu, figures the guy who carries around the most crap in his Jeep would win some more

Seriously, this effort goes to a great cause. I'm glad it turned out so well for both the board and the winner.

Two Questions

#1. Might anyone know the model of the Motorola FRS radios that were in the raffle?

#2. William, how does a person become PN2 in two years? Talk about accelerated advancement!

In the near future I'm going to build a thingy for the back of my Jeep and carry more stuff.

#1 Stu, I am sure that was that one model number you don’t want. I’ll take the radios. J/K
#2 Just look at her, isn’t that obvious? In two more years she is going to be PNC and bossing William around.

God dam it Stu, I am very helpful today. Do you think a single idiot on JU knew that to get rid of the tire lift on that TJ all the guy had to do is slap a Currie Antilock on? Plus I bet that most of the public still doesn’t believe that automatic locker in the rear exaggerates the tire lift situation.

Then I approved our new user’s membership privileges.

Then I posted information about Hammerite availability.

Don’t call me useless, that makes me depressed.

Took me 3 and she has NO sea time!!!

But, I'll tell you what (She doesn't read the board.. so she won't know that I'm talking good about her), she's @#$hot and on the ball. Identifies trends, anticpates my complaints about what is not good and has solutions in place before I even get it out.

I've got an awesome section right now.

William,

When I was in, there were both time in rate and time in service requirements.

It was impossible to make E-5 in two years. You would be just qualifying to go up for E-4 after two years in service. If I remember correctly, I had to have 6 years in service (or there abouts) to take the test for E-6.

So, what kind of system do they now have? It is obvisously MUCH different than the 70/80s time frame when I was in.

The ONLY cabana boy in this community who has won a raffle!
