coolant additives for water cooled TIG
I recently picked up a used Lincoln 300/300 TIG welder. It came with a Miller "Radiator 1" cooler which was totally plugged with algea. I now have it cleaned out and I am running distilled water in it. What would be a good additive to keep the crap from building up again? Local shops say they can order me some Miller additive, but if it ain't in stock it must not be very popular with the local pros. Just wondering if there was a cheap easy solution.

I wasn't aware there were any additives.
At work we just use distilled water..... With all the leaks the whips develop, we have no algae problems. Allen
