2 inch lift kit
I?m new to Jeeps (05 Wrangler) and this forum, and my questions may see very elementary to others here. But, I?d like to hear from you on the following.
I?d like to install a 2 inch lift kit and put on 31 inch tires. The kits I?ve seen consist of new coil springs and shocks. Would a lift of 2 inches be any problem with the u-joints? Do you have any suggestions on whose kit to get, or who?s not to get? Thanks in advance for your help. |

You can run 31s stock.

A 2" lift won't cause any problems, that's about as mild of a lift as can be installed. And you can go with 32x11.50 tires with 2" of suspension lift but aftermarket wheels with 4.5" or less backspacing are recommended. As Allen mentioned, you don't even need a lift or aftermarket wheels to run 31x10.50 tires.

Thanks
Thanks for the information. 31's are what I wanted, just didn't know if the lift kit was necessary, and glad to know I don't need new wheels as well.
Thanks again. |
