I thought I remember reading somewhere that Circuit City was allowing trade ins of HD-DVDs for credit towards blu-ray players.

I got excited reading that Shalom until I figured out that it's now well past Circuit City's 90 day return policy window. Many of us purchased back in November, me included, when this thread started.

Price of the player is nothing in comparison to the cost of a video library (if you are into that sort of thing). I am getting close to 200 Blu-ray disks in my collection (albeit most purchased at very low prices, thanks to the special sales during the Blu-ray vs. HD-DVD war). Be thankful you didn't invest into 200 HD-DVD disks.

For the player you paid much less than it cost to manufacture it. Rip the laser out of it, and make a super cool violet laser-pointer.
